John & Mary keep changing towns, desperately trying to find aplace which is safe enough to settle down but each town they move to, turns out to be as bad or even worse than the town they were before. When they finally move to a place called “Safetown“, thinking this town must be safe, little do they know what horror lies ahead !

Anthony Ashiotis

as John Stole

Anthony was born in Nicosia, is half Greek Cypriot and half Irish / British and has two lovely children namely Natalie and Christian. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and runs his own firm of auditors, accountants and consultants since 1990, with clients based worldwide. His firm has received awards of high recognition from three consecutive Presidents of Cyprus and other parties in Cyprus and the UK . He has over many years been involved in charity work especially as President of Rotaract Nicosia and the Rotary Club of Nicosia. He loves theater and has performed in many theatrical plays and always for charity. “Friends for Oscars “ is just one of the plays he has written but the first one on stage.

Autumn Despotis

as Mary Stole

Autumn is an American currently based in Cyprus. She secured her first prominent theatre role at the age of 9, portraying a weasel with criminal tendencies. Autumn has toured with theatre companies in the United States and has performed in numerous community productions, as well. Notable roles include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and Carnelle in The Miss Firecracker Contest.

Graham Thomas

as Sergeant Banks

Graham has been an Anglo Cypriot Theatre group (ACT) member since 1990, when he made his first appearance in an ACT production. Since then, he has appeared in, and directed, many of ACT’s successful shows, from Shakespeare to panto, from serious drama to comedy. He was also President of ACT for 14 years, until stepping down in 2023…...for a rest! Graham has also played major roles in numerous Shakespeare at Curium productions.

Lorenzo Micheletto

as PC Houses

Lorenzo is an actor who graduated from 'Acting International' acting film school in Paris back in 2012. Studied Meisner, Checkov, Stanislavski, Strasberg and learned to work with the camera. On his return to Cyprus where he was born and raised, started his first steps into the acting world by working in different television series, theatre and commercials. In 2016 he returned to Paris for his craft, becoming a part time acting teacher alongside his mentor Robert Cordier before he passed away in 2020 where Lorenzo came once again back to Cyprus, continuing working his craft on different projects.

Vasily Lavrikov

as PC Malls

Vasily has studied theater and directing in Athens, Greece . Has participated in various production's while in Greece . Returned to Cyprus and finished ministry's of tourism tour guide school in 2015 and now is working as an official tour guide of the republic of Cyprus. Fluent in Greek , English and Russian languages. First theatrical appearance in Cyprus was with the theatrical company of Doros Kyriakedes. Before he appeared briefly in some TV series for channel sigma.

Aleen Andreou

as Alice

Aleen is delighted to return to a second Anthony Assiotis play, in a totally different role to her first one of Mrs Saunders. Aleen's passion for theatre began with school and university productions, blossoming further with ACT (Anglo-Cypriot Theatre) and short films, most notably Al Davidian's "Don't Make A Sound". For over a decade she attended Athena Xenidou's Film and Stage Studio and co-founded the improv group Nudniks as well as WET (Women's Empowerment Theatre). When not on stage, Aleen channels her creativity into her work as a corporate trainer and coach with PeopleAchieve.

Alexandra Maria Papademetriou

as Suzan

Alexandra has performed in various TV series in Cyprus and Greece as well as on Netflix and in the British thriller mini series “Ex- wife “! She has appeared in both Cypriot and foreign movies, in collaboration with the well-known director Nadav Lapid. Alexandra has performed in various theater productions, most recent being “ Casting Call “ which was on show in several towns of Cyprus.

Thomas is an amateur actor for 3 years, and has worked in a couple of tv series and ads.

Originally from Manchester, a 35 year career in wealth management , living and working in a dozen countries and now in Cyprus, the 'island of love', always in pursuit of a new challenge. And here came “ Safetown “ in which I can promise a 100% effort to justify my role of Mayor and Bishop and help make this a huge success.

Ersin Halit

as Mother Superior

Ersin was born and raised in the UK. The greater part of her life has been devoted to raising awareness of Dyslexia (Specific learning Difficulty) in Cyprus. In 2019, she acted in the comedy play “Get Staffed” and in 2023 and 2024 she appeared in two performances with Women’s Empowerment Theatre (W.E.T). Ersin has also performed in various stand-up comedies and improv shows. She is the author of her autobiography My Life/File. An inspiring book that recounts the hardships and joys of her life, her family and her work.

Hris Sawyer

as Delivery Man

Hris has studied acting in his home country Bulgaria.During the day he's working as a fashion merchandiser and at night he goes back to his biggest passion - acting. He loves being on stage and expressing himself through many other forms of art - drawing, poetry, fashion and dancing. In Cyprus so far he's been mainly involved with the productions of ACT. He is enchanted by "the illusionary reality"  that theater creates for the length of a performance and thinks this is the closest people can get to magic.

Joanna Evgeniou

as Waitress

Joanna is thrilled to make her theatrical debut in the role of the Waitress. Despite being new to acting, her natural talent for making friends and family laugh has inspired her to pursue this path. Recently, she participated as an extra through a Cypriot casting agency for an upcoming film. This performance marks an exciting chapter as she steps onto the stage for the first time, embracing the opportunity to share her passion with the audience. Off stage she is a Business Information Researcher/Analyst at Rime Information Bureau Ltd.

Marios Joannides

Marios was born in Rhodesia (Zambia) while at school and University had several acting experiences. Now a few decades later he has been encouraged to test the acting waters again with a small role .Marios has an active business and family life.

Nada Panayiotou

as Gangster Lady/Courier with Biscuit

Nada is an economist by profession and actor by choose. She is originally from Serbia (Belgrade) and has been living and working in Cyprus since 1996. She is a business woman and mother of four, and has appeared in over Seven theatre productions, over the past 10 years. You may have seen her in her last production English Comedy November 2018 “Get Staffed’ by Frank Gibbons , as the main actor. She had a great privilege to serve as President of Rotary club Nicosia 2017-2018. She loves acting and when she’s not acting (or crawling around the stage on all fours), Nada enjoys running half marathons, reading and dancing. She promotes peace and love.

Angela Constantinidou

Director

Angela is an architect, an actor and a director. She has graduated from The Atlantic School in New York and owns an MA in Theatre Studies with a focus on directing and Film to Theatre adaptations. She is also a graduate from The Neighbourhood Playhouse School of Theatre. She is a certified consent-forward artist and has been translating theatre plays and making film adaptations into Greek for the last few years. She is an artist mentor for the Breaking Walls NGO organisation in New York that helps young artists flourish. She has directed theatre plays and short films, both in Cyprus and the US. She is a board member of the Actors Union of Cyprus and the Artistic Director and Creator of thr Theatre and Film ensemble |(w)in the margins.

Elia Zoe Christou

Assistant Director

Eliais an actor, dancer, and model. She's a University of Derby graduate with a joint honors bachelor's degree in Dance and Movement Studies and Theater Studies. She's passionate about the arts and how it helps people and also happens to be a Red Cross volunteer, so this project was two things she enjoys doing while also giving back to the community. This production is her first role as an assistant director she usually is in on stage, not behind, so it's a wonderful experience and opportunity for her creative input as a creative performer to be placed in a more detailed role and maybe she will do more directing in the future. She's just happy to be part of Safe Town plays journey to the stage.
